What is Meltdown Crew?
Meltdown Crew is an online co-op game where you have to control a 1980s style nuclear reactor by using proximity voice chat and phones to communicate with your friends, made by Meltdown Games. The store page pitches it like this: “Run a barely-stable nuclear reactor with your friends in this online co-op physics chaos game.”
You and up to 5 friends have to prevent a total meltdown while producing as much power as possible. All objects are physics based, and fuel rods are fragile, bump into a doorway or a coworker too hard, and you’re both gone. The reactor is under constant change, cooling needs to be adjusted, fuel rods need to be replaced and thrown out, power will cut off and fuses will blow.
Meltdown Crew is made by Meltdown Games and published by Duhndal. A playable demo is out ahead of the full release, currently dated December 2026. It is listed on Steam for Windows. Modes on record: single-player and online co-op.

How to play: beginner tips
- Prioritise upgrades that speed up every future run.
- Try the demo first; check the store page to see whether demo progress carries over.
- Reinvest early earnings into upgrades that raise income, not cosmetics.
- Scout before committing; most early losses come from over-extending.
- Split roles with friends — one scout, one builder, one fighter — instead of all doing the same job.
- Prioritise shelter and a renewable food source before exploring far.
